The Skin Sanctuary

On the occasion of Paris Fashion Week March, Monastery partners with cult media platform Semaine to present The Skin Sanctuary – an immersive retail and treatment space. Bringing their bespoke formulations and services from California to Paris, Monastery products will be available for purchase and treatments provided by Founder & Formulator Athena Hewett and the Monastery team. The space becomes a thoughtfully designed environment dedicated to ritual, radiance, and resilient skin. At its core, a circular care halo is enclosed by heavy curtains offering a cocoon-like retreat, bordered by plush blue carpet and vintage furnishings. Realised in collaboration with Paris-based talents, set design by Clément Pasquier Studio and inclusion of pieces from Teget and Theo Galliakis.

XOXO (ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE)

XOXO (All you need is Love) is a duo exhibition bringing together the works of Paris-based artist Inès Mélia and Milan-based artist Geraldina Bassani Antivari. Putting in dialogue the artists’ respective pluridisciplinary practices, the exhibition invites the audience to playfully reflect on the common understanding of romance. In a society embedded in consumerism and mass thinking, are the aesthetics of Love another illusion for, and of, globalized conservatism? Through humor and wit, both artists question domesticity and intimacy while exposing the paradoxical aspects of being a woman, single or in a relationship (whatever that means).
