Amèle Moussaoui shares the habits, ingredients, and simple shifts that make protection part of everyday skincare. From when to apply protection to the ingredients worth knowing, Amèle shares her practical tips for keeping skin hydrated, protected, and ready when mosquitos bite.
Consider this your guide to making protection a easy and effective habit.

Tip 1: Hydrate first. Dry skin literally attracts mosquitoes more than hydrated skin does, so I moisturize every
day.
Tip 2: Don't wait to see a mosquito bites. Prevention just works better than reacting, my family, drilled that in to me way before mosquitoes were even the topic.
Tip 3: Essential oils work amazingly, but only at the right dose: citronella, geranium, Eucalyptus citronnée.

Tip 4: Oiling your skin every day is basically an old Arab ritual nobody called skincare. My family just called ittaking care of yourself.
Tip 5: If a repellent is sticky or smells bad, you'll stop using it exactly when you need it. So pick something youactually like putting on.
Tip 6: I'd rather protect my skin than spray a whole room. Targeted is better for you, than inhaling chemicals

Tip 7: This isn't just a holiday thing anymore. Mosquito-borne diseases are showing up in places that never used to worry about them — dengue's already in Europe and the US — so I treat it as a year-round thing now.
Tip 8: Reapply like sunscreen. After a swim, after you've been sweating, every few hours, not just once at the door.
Tip 9: If you do get bitten, cold beats scratching, every time. Cider vinegar or aloe calms it faster than anything in a pharmacy aisle that one's straight from my mother's kitchen.
