We asked Apollonia to share a recipe that would be easy enough for beginners to try their hand at baking bread, and delicious enough that amateurs and foodies alike would love to sink their hands (and teeth) into.

Ingredients
500g of whole wheat flour (reduce the amount of water if you are going
to use white flour.)
10g of yeast
12g of salt
50ml of lukewarm water
1. Mix all the ingredients by hand in a bowl. Turn to a wooden board
or floured kitchen counter to shape into a ball.
2. Leave to rest at room temperature for around 45min in the bowl,
covered in linen or a cloth.
3. Divide the loaf in two and shape two loaves. Place them on a baking
sheet and cover with a kitchen cloth.

4. Leave to rest for 1h45. When it’s been 1 hour and 30 mins,
preheat the oven at 220-230°C/ Gas mark 7-8y
5. Brush a little water on the top of the loaves and bake for around
20min.
6. Enjoy!
