The Baobab Tree, also known as the Monkey Bread Tree, and Upside Down Tree, is native to Africa’s hot dry Savannah and can also be found in Madagascar and Australia. The tree can reach 82ft tall in nature with the trunk impressively growing up to 46ft wide. Lily was gifted hers by her great friend, the environmental lawyer Farhana Yamin, and as she says, it makes her “happy to see it grow”, but don’t worry the tree won’t reach 82ft when planted in a pot!
